Grandstand Dedication - August 20, 2011

The Defiance County Fair Foundation Board extends heartfelt thanks to the myriad of people who had a hand in the grandstand design, fabrication, and erection of our new grandstand. But the biggest thanks must go out to those who have financially committed to this project. A promise to make an investment in the future will yield a return many times over for our youth and community. Today marks the beginning of a new and exciting era in the rebirth of our county fair. Performing the ribbon cutting are Defiance County Junior Fairboard officers. Sara Culler; President, Keisha Sweinhagen, Vice President, Alicia Meyer, Treasurer, and Abigail Friend, Secretary. |
| The Defiance County Fair Foundation has committed to raising an estimated $500,000 to provide new restrooms, recognition areas, and cover additional erection costs mandated by the state and other circumstances beyond our control. Together, let’s continue the dramatic fairground improvements by supporting these with individual, organizational, and business gifts. These timeless principles never leave us: that freedom is universal—-that all ethics precious are that to whom much is given—-much is expected—-and that results matter. |
